Do you remember? Throwback to the storm that ravaged Malta and Gozo 8 years ago
Nature’s power on full display!

The weather page ‘It-Temp Madwarna’ has shared some dramatic throwback photos of the powerful storm that made history by destroying Gozo’s iconic Azure Window in Dwejra. But that wasn’t the only place in Gozo to feel the storm’s full force!

The newly resurfaced images capture chilling moments in Marsalforn, where towering waves reached the height of apartment buildings, surging past the bay and crashing against windows. The sheer power of nature on display in these shots is both breathtaking and terrifying in equal measure.

With the weather expected to feel almost summer-like by the end of this week, it’s hard to imagine a storm of that magnitude striking at this time of year. But with a few more weeks of March left, who knows what surprises nature might have in store?

Do you remember this storm?
