The beloved ‘Science in the Citadel’ festival is back for its sixth edition on Sunday 27th April 2025, from 10 AM to 6 PM, set against the stunning backdrop of Gozo’s Cittadella.
This free, family-friendly event is part of the wider ‘Springtime in Gozo’ programme, which kicks off on Friday 25th April, and runs until 18th May 2025 – bringing weeks of culture, colour, and curiosity to the sister island.
The event aims to promote education and public engagement in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Visitors will be able to take part in interactive exhibitions, hands-on activities, and live demonstrations showcasing the latest scientific research and technological innovations.
This year’s edition welcomes participants from across the vast scientific spectrum, with stands featuring 3D printing demonstrations, robotics displays by the European Institute for Emerging Technologies, astronomy presentations, and an exhibition highlighting women who have built careers and made a name in STEM – so whether your interests lie in the stars or closer to the ground, you’ll certainly find something to pique your interest!
If you’re itching to get involved, there will also be various workshops, a science-and-culture-themed treasure hunt, and opportunities to meet researchers and industry experts.
