Closure alert! Mgarr ix-Xini not accessible to the public due to filming on 16th & 17th June
The beach will be closed to the public between 7:00AM and 8:00PM on both days

If you’re planning a Gozo beach day this week, take note! Transport Malta has announced that Mgarr ix-Xini will be temporarily closed to the public, today 16th June and tomorrow, 17th June due to scheduled filming activities.

Filming will take place from Monday 16th to Tuesday 17th June 2025, between 07:00 and 8:00PM. During these hours, Mgarr ix-Xini will not be accessible to the public. Access will resume after 8:00PM on both days.

This temporary closure comes as part of a filming project, ‘Two Weeks in Augusut’ being carried out with full permits.

Clear signage has been placed on-site, and personnel will be present to offer guidance throughout the two-day period.
