Frank Portelli was without a doubt one of Malta’s leading artists in modern art. ‘Frank U Jien’ is an upcoming interdisciplinary curatorial project aimed at celebrating the artist’s pioneering and work in life.

Showcased over two weekends during February, ‘Frank U Jien’ is set in Frank’s original studio that he designed himself.

The project is curated by Andrew Borg Wirth and written by Maria Theuma.

It will provide visitors the chance to browse some of Frank Portelli’s personal archive. The project will also see many local artists coming together to showcase the visionary artist’s work and life through a series of unique performances and other multi forms of art.

The whole project will be carried out in Maltese, but English subtitles will be provided.

Tuesday 20th February
Public Lecture at Casino Maltese, together with an exhibition tour of In Search of Line by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, Valletta.
