Only four beaches around Malta and Gozo are being considered ‘safe’.
You might be best off going on that post-work dip some other day…
According to local weather page Maltese Islands Weather, a whopping 34 out of the 38 beaches around Malta and Gozo are ‘unsafe’.
For a beach to be considered ‘safe’ to swim at, it must be free from jellyfish, rough seas, debris and other hazards that might prove dangerous.
Malta and Gozo’s safe beaches for Friday 1st July are as follows:

- Ramla l-Hamra
- Dwejra Inland Sea
Conversely, the island’s unsafe beaches for Friday 1st July are as follows:

Temperatures around Malta are relatively low today, reaching highs of 33°C. Having said that, a high humidity level of 69 per cent is making it feel as hot as 40°C.
