The National Archives of Malta has taken a stunning stroll down memory lane with their first digital treasure of the year.

The throwback photo by Ernie Miller, an English engineer stationed with the British Services in Malta from 1952 to 1959, shows a momentous event in Maltese history.

The photo shows Triton Fountain in 1959 which resonated with historical significance, offering a glimpse into Malta’s past, specifically the capital city.

Through the generous donation of Ernie Miller’s son, Barry, the National Archives of Malta continues to reveal the rich tapestry of the nation’s heritage.
