Strait Street is full of awesome signage, some peculiar, some a little weird and others absolutely Insta-worthy. You can only wonder what went on behind closed doors in some of these shops and bars back in the day!

The diamond in the rough

Most shops on the Sliema and Valletta high-streets are newly renovated, fully decked out with glass windows, flashy spotlights and other modern influences. But some shop owners appreciate their roots and stick to the original facades for as long as possible, and we love that!

Candy shops in particular have a magnetic pull to all sweet lovers out there, and this one in Valletta is no different. Highly recognisable by its bold colours, vibrant signage and of course a spot of advertising to really lead the way.
