Blast from the past! Here’s what the Valletta bus terminus looked like in the 1970s
Back then drivers used to customise their buses.

Newly re-surfaced photo shows the Valletta bus terminus like very few of us remember it…

The photo, featured on Facebook page, Din Malta Taghna, has been making the rounds on Facebook showing this iconic landmark as busy as ever during the 1970s. This photo, presumable from 1973, present the capital city in all of its glory, with the Floriana church visible in the background.

Buses can also be seen driving around the Triton Fountain as they prepare to embark on their journeys.

The buses can also be seen sporting an array of different colours, such as mint, white, and red, thus indicating the different routes they service.

It was also very common at the time for a Maltese bus driver to embellish and customise their buses.

Things sure have changed in the past 50 years!
