Il-Ħaġar│Heart of Gozo Museum is marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St Francis of Assisi with a major exhibition featuring 60 works of art depicting the saint.
Titled Without Limit: St Francis 800, the exhibition will feature works spanning centuries, including pieces by Annibale Carracci (1560–1609), Pietro Paolo Zahra (1685–1747), Ġanni Vella (1885–1977), Agostino Camilleri (1885–1979), Franco Caprioli (1912–1974), Anton Inglott (1915–1945), Willie Apap (1918–1970), Antoine Camilleri (1922–2005), Harry Alden (1929–2019), Ġanni Bonnici (1932–2019) and Anton Agius (1933–2008).

Their works will be exhibited alongside those of a wide range of living artists from Gozo, Malta and overseas.
Curated by Joseph Calleja, the exhibition has been planned to coincide with the global commemorations surrounding the 800th anniversary of St Francis’s death.
It will be inaugurated on Saturday 19th September at 7:30pm and will remain open until 8th November. The public is invited to attend the opening.
