For many, Malta’s swimming season is long gone – what with the thunderstorms, strong winds, and cool temperatures that have been taking over our country this month…

…and the latest warning from the Environmental Health Directorate is yet another reason why going for a dip might not be the best idea.

Earlier today, the aforementioned authority warned the Maltese public against swimming in the Qui Si Sana area after sewage was found to be overflowing into bathing water.

Officials from the Environmental Health Directorate are investigating the issue, however, until then, it’s best to stay away from the area.

Believe us, you wouldn’t want to get your hair in that.

For further information about this, you can contact the Health Inspectorate Services between 7:30am and 3:00pm on 21337333 or via email on [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected].

Alternatively, you can visit the authority’s offices at the Continental Business Centre on Old Railway Track, Santa Venera.
