The Water Services Corporation (WSC) announced that seven entire localities around Malta – Mgarr, Wardija, Zebbiegh, Qawra, Bugibba, Salina, and Bahar ic-Caghaq – are having their water supply suspended today.

The interruption at Mgarr, Wardija, and Zebbiegh was set to begin this morning, at around 7am, and is expected to end at around 6pm today.

Similarly, the interruption at Qawra, Bugibba, Salina, and Bahar ic-Caghaq started at 7am today and is set to be restored at midnight.

The WSC attributed these interruptions to the “connection of main” in the aforementioned areas.

A number of streets within other localities around the Maltese islands are also expected to experience interruptions to their water services today.

These include the Wied Rini, Wied il-Buzieb, and Mtahleb areas within Rabat; Triq San Filippu, Sqaq Nru. 1, and Sqaq Nru. 2 in Ghaxaq; Telghet Birkirkara, Triq William H. Prescott, Sqaq Ciantar, Triq San Mark, and Triq Alfred Gauci in St Julian’s; Triq il-Palazz l-Ahmar, Triq il-Batterija, Triq Pietru Dacoutros, and Triq il-Kukkanja in Santa Venera; and the Ix-Xatt area, Triq Parisio, Triq il-Kurunell Savona, Triq San Albert, and Triq Henry F. Bouverie in Gzira and Sliema.

For more information about these interruptions or to report issues with your water quality, visit the Water Services Corporation Facebook page or website.
