Anyone travelling to Malta must present a negative Covid test, says Prof. Gauci
Malta has changed its travel lists, too.
Anyone travelling to Malta must get tested prior to arriving on the islands, Superintendent of Public Health Prof. Charmaine Gauci has announced.

In a live interview on Ask Charmaine with Times of Malta, Gauci shared that Malta has changed the travel lists: all countries on the green list (meaning passengers could travel freely) have been moved to the amber list. This means that the country has an amber list which means that travellers coming from these countries need to provide a negative PCR test before arrival (or get tested at the airport), and a red list which prohibits travel from the countries on that list.
She also noted that even those travelling via Catamaran from Sicily need to be tested, and testing is available at the port. Gauci also clarified that if Maltese citizens go abroad, they would still need to present a negative PCR test upon arrival (or get tested at the airport/port). And responding to a question, she said that for now, foreigners who are fully vaccinated still need to get tested if they're coming to Malta until a programme is in place.
