Neil Agius is currently swimming his way from Sicily to Malta in a huge endurance challenge for #WavesofChange, an anti-pollution campaign.

The swimmer jumped in the water off the coast of Pozzallo in incredible misty conditions, with the four boats accompanying him on his swim barely able to spot each other.

Starting off at 5.15 this morning, Neil is expected to arrive in Sliema tomorrow afternoon around 2pm.

As of 9.40am, Neil had already swam 20km and his journey can be tracked livehere.

Good luck Neil!
