‘A View from the Bridge’: Arthur Miller’s classic comes to life at Teatru Manoel this October
A view from the Bridge will be running for 10th October 2025.
This October, Masquerade Malta, in collaboration with Teatru Manoel, proudly brings Arthur Miller’s powerful drama A View from the Bridge to the stage of Malta’s National Theatre.
Opening on 10th October 2025, this bold new production promises a gripping and emotional theatrical experience.
First performed in 1955, Miller’s modern classic follows the story of Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman whose life unravels in a web of forbidden love, honour, and betrayal. The play remains one of Miller’s most haunting examinations of justice, identity, and moral conflict, with themes that remain urgently relevant today.
Directed by Jean-Marc Cafà, this production brings together an outstanding creative team and cast. Isabel Warrington stars as Beatrice, Peter Galea as Eddie, and Mikhail Basmadjian as Alfieri, the lawyer who narrates the story. The cast also features Thea Costa as Catherine, Matthew Dimech Genuis as Rodolpho, Neil Cutajar as Marco, and Benjamin Abela as Mike.
The creative direction promises a visually and emotionally charged staging, with set design by Adrian Mamo, costumes by Simona Mamo, soundscapes by Matteo Depares, and movement direction by Rochelle Gatt. The result is a raw, physical interpretation that brings Miller’s intense storytelling vividly to life.
Performances will run from 10th to 19th October 2025 and tickets are available at www.teatrumanoel.mt and www.masquerademalta.com.
