Mark your calendars for a spine-chilling experience on the 25th of October, at Fort St Elmo in Valletta. This historic fort, known for its strategic importance throughout Maltese history, will open its doors for a special night tour that uncovers some of its darkest secrets.

From the blood-soaked battles of the Great Siege of 1565 to the failed slaves' revolt of 1749, the rising of the priests in 1775, and the harrowing bombardments of World War II, Fort St Elmo has witnessed centuries of conflict and tragedy.

Guests will also hear about more recent events, including the infamous Egyptair hijack of 1985, and other chilling tales that have left a lasting mark on the fort’s storied walls.

This guided tour, filled with eerie anecdotes and historic tragedies, will begin at 20:00 and last approximately 75 minutes.

Conducted in English, it is exclusively for visitors aged 16 and over, due to the intense and sometimes unsettling nature of the stories.
