This weekend, the village of Qala in Gozo lit up in a brilliant display to celebrate the feast of St. Joseph, San Ġużepp, culminating in a spectacular fireworks show over Qala Square.

The skies were transformed into a canvas of vibrant colours and choreographed bursts, perfectly timed to music for an unforgettable communal experience.

Organised by Għaqda Briju San Ġużepp, the fireworks are a highlight of Gozo’s festa season, drawing locals and visitors alike to witness the thrilling display each evening. The show reflects a proud tradition that brings together community spirit, artistry, and festive energy in one gorgeous night.

From soaring rockets to rhythmic lighting effects, the evening offered magical moments under the stars - once again proving why Gozo festas are among the island’s most cherished summer celebrations.
