A celebration of diversity! Gozo’s Aurora International Folk Festival returns in the coming weeks

The Citadel’s Cathedral square in Gozo will be brimming with life as the Aurora International Folk Festival returns again between the 20th and 22nd October.

Folk groups from across Europe including Malta will hit the stage entertaining all those who attend as they celebrate the cultural roots of their country.

The festival promises to be an unforgettable celebration full of diversity and harmony!

On Friday, 20th October there will be shows by the Leone Ensemble and Aurora Folk Group from Gozo, I Picciotti da Purtedda from Sicily, Chludowianie Rajlender from Poland together with Chludowianie Wiatroki, also from Poland.  A concert by Cash and Trio will then follow. Wine and platters will be available all night long!  

On Saturday 21st October, the night will kick off with a traditional dinner accompanied by folk shows by the Aurora Folk Group from Malta, I Picciotti da Purtedda from Sicily, Chludowianie Rajlender and Chludowianie Wiatroki from Poland together with Duk Kudat from Serbia.  Wine and drinks are available to those wishing to attend for the shows without the dinner.

The event starts at 8pm for both nights.  

On the morning of Sunday 22nd October, there will be shows by Aurora Folk Group from Malta, I Picciotti da Purtedda from Sicily, Chludowianie Rajlender and Chludowianie Wiatroki from Poland. As it is also the feast of St Ursula there will be the traditional procession from the Cathedral with the saint’s statue. Traditional Maltese Coffee and pastizzi will be served at the bar all morning. The event kicks off at 9am.

Additionally, artisanal stalls will also be set up throughout the whole weekend.
