Mount St Joseph Spirituality Centre, Mosta
Run by the Jesuit Centre for Ignatian Spirituality, this retreat house invites visitors to leave the fast pace of modern life and enter into a haven of peace and quiet. Set over a large stretch of land and rolling Maltese countryside, the retreat offers spacious gardens in which the Retreat House - an early 20th century architectural beauty - is located. For prayer and liturgical celebration, a sunny chapel on the first floor is ideal venue. For more intimate groups, there's a smaller chapel on the ground floor, while a prayer room is located in the gardens offering a simple indoor-outdoor space.

Porziuncola Retreat House, Bahar ic-Caghaq
Set overlooking the deep Mediterranean on Malta’s northern coast, this retreat was the first of its kind on the island, established in 1957. Named after the chapel of the Virgin Mary of the Angels, where Francis of Assisi discovered his evangelical calling in 1208, Porziuncola offers a modern Franciscan oasis for prayer and contemplation. Upgraded in 1994, the retreat offers 35 double/single rooms (each with a shower and toilet), three conference rooms, two chapels, a dining hall and a big conference hall.
