12 pieces to pack for a spring holiday to Malta
Ready, pack, go!

Nicole Parnis

Packing for a holiday can be stressful, but it doesn't have to be! The trick is to plan your outfits in advance, and make your separates work harder by mixing them up with other pieces. If you're travelling to Malta this spring, you can leave your coats behind, as weather from April onwards is glorious on the islands. Dresses are great as they're a whole outfit in one, so we've picked out a few that will see you through your stay. Bon Voyage!

1. Floral Midi Shirt Dress

This botanical print button-down dress from French Connection sets the palette for a stylish spring capsule wardrobe. Pair it with sneakers or sandals, and create a whole new look by wearing it unbuttoned over denim shorts and a plain white tee.

2. Comfy Trainers

The suede Gazelle Adidas sneaker is a classic. We love these dusty pink ones which will go with almost any outfit! They're great for all those hilly Valletta streets whilst being dressy enough to wear with more feminine pieces.

3. Smock Snake Print Dress

Snake print isn't going anywhere this season! This summery swing dress from River Island can take you from day to night. You can dress it up or down, with a pair of sparkly heels, or throw it on over a swimsuit if you're lucky enough to get a tanning day in!

4. Camo Utility Trousers

These camo-print trousers from New Look are not only bang-on trend, but they'd be perfect for all the sightseeing you're bound to get up to in Malta. Wear these for day-trips to the spectacular Neolithic Temples, or pair with heels and a slinky camisole for dinner in Spinola Bay.

5. Acid Wash Denim Jacket

This denim jacket from All Saints is an investment which will last you years! It's an essential that will definitely see you through your spring holiday to Malta, when the weather's not quite as hot as in summer, when soaring temperatures hit. Wear this to travel in and save valuable space in your hand-luggage.

6. Animal Print Tee

All holidays require a couple of basic tees! We're digging this animal print Bershka number, which is perfect for casual days exploring the islands. Pair with a pleated midi-skirt or camo trousers, and get bang on that print clashing trend!

7. Raffia Shoulder Bag

Straw and raffia bags have been carried over into 2019, and this Kurt Geiger chain bag is a little daintier than the rest. It's sure to dress up any outfit, and its perspex handle and silk scarf gives it a designer touch.

8. Seaside Dress

This gorgeous mini dress from And Other Stories is speckled with seashells and starfish, and '80s inspired chain print, which is going to be huge this year. White is also in right now, so you'll be ticking all the boxes as you wear it for a fancy lunch with a glass of chilled white wine in the seaside town of Marsaxlokk!

10. Linen Striped Dress

There's nothing like a go-to day dress, and this striped linen number from Miss Selfridge is adorable. We'd pair it with a silk floral scarf tied into a headband, some colourful wooden bangles and a bright lip colour. This dress will be perfect for posing in front of traditional painted doors in the stunning old capital of Mdina!
