Here at Guide Me Malta, we're purveyors of beautiful things, and we just love it when they happen to be made locally! We also love gift-buying, and we've come across some special items throughout the year which would make perfect pressies this Christmas.
Here's just a little round up of what we've got our eyes on for family and friends this Christmas. Why not shop local this year?
1. BEL - Blue Arty Serving Board
When a chopping board looks this good, we ain't using it for chopping! We love this wooden board by BEL which would work just as well as a serving platter for your yummy cheese selection on Boxing Day!

Made with freshly pressed 100% Maltese olive oil, this luxurious yet sustainable product is as local as it gets! We're sure this soap from Sapun Ta' Malta would make many mummies happy this Christmas.

We can't get enough of One Yellow Melon's quirky earrings, and to be honest, we'd like more than one pair! We'd make do with these icy-toned earrings for the festive season for ourselves, and our besties of course.

Being lovers of design and our fair Capital City, Valletta, famed architect Chris Briffa's first publication 'Valletta Files' would do nicely under our trees this year, or make the perfect gift for the architecture lover in your life!

What's not to love about this beautiful coffee table book by one of our fave writers and journalistas, Ramona Depares? Fabulously illustrated by the ever-quirky Moira Zahra, 'Beltin' makes gifting easy peasy.

We've been fan-girling over Kitsch Pick's rock chick accessories all year, and these skull ones would be just perfect for a music-loving best friend to punk-up a glitzy New Year's eve dress with a leather jacket. We think we'll get a pair for ourselves too, thanks!
8. Mediterranean Ceramics - Oil Decanter
We all have that one foodie in our lives, and if they're a bit of an olive oil snob, we think this hand-painted ceramic oil bottle from Mediterranean Ceramics at Ta' Qali Crafts Village would go down a treat as a thoughtful Christmas gift! It's sure to add a splash of Mediterranean colour to any kitchen. We approve!
9. Stephen Cordina - Room & Linen Spray
Maltese perfumer Stephen Cordina knows a thing or two about aromatherapy, and this Rose & Citrus room and linen spray is a surefire hit with just about anyone. What's not to love? We'd be spritzing this luxury scent all over our homes this Christmas if we received it ourselves! Delightful.
10. Ceramics By Tiz - Lamp Base
Have an art and interiors lover in the family? We've got just the right idea. This Maltese potter makes beautiful pieces which are even used in swanky restaurants! Luckily, they also do personal orders, and wheel-thrown stoneware like this glazed painted lamp base would look cool in any minimal space. Chic!
