Film enthusiasts are in for a treat as the set of the highly anticipated ‘Gladiator 2’ opens its doors to the public on the 21st of January at Fort Ricasoli, Malta.
This rare opportunity, announced by the Malta Film Commission/Screen Malta is set to allow visitors to immerse themselves in the world of Ridley Scott's upcoming blockbuster, complete with reproductions of iconic Roman-era structures, including the Colosseum.
Despite facing interruptions due to an actors' strike, the filming has been ongoing for several months and is expected to hit the theatres later this year.
Fort Ricasoli, the primary filming location, will be open to the public from 8 am to 5 pm, offering a unique glimpse into the making of the epic sequel.
‘Gladiator 2’ follows the success of the original film, released 24 years ago, which starred Russell Crowe as Maximus and earned critical acclaim, including an Oscar for Best Picture.
