A moment of joy unfolds as the scaffolding, adorned with iron and wooden beams, has recently been taken down in the Chapel of the Crucifix at Balzan’s Parish.

The completed restoration revealed the beauty of Emvin Cremona's paintings, one of Malta’s leading artists of the 20th century. Emvin Cremona is also known for being a stamp designer, designing most Maltese stamps from 1957 to the 1980’s.

Affixed firmly to the roof, these artistic treasures have undergone meticulous restoration, breathing new life into their colours and details.

The removal of the scaffolding allows visitors to once again bask in the visual splendour of Chevalier Emvin Cremona’s paintings, capturing the essence of his artistic genius.

This restoration grants a renewed appreciation for the Chapel of the Crucifix, where history and art meet to create an enduring legacy.
