Wow! Stargazers capture stunning views of Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS over Malta

In recent days, stargazers in Malta have been treated to stunning views of the comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, with locals and tourists alike capturing breathtaking photos of the celestial visitor. One particularly striking image was taken from Għajn Tuffieha, showing the comet hovering low over the western horizon just after sunset.

While faintly visible to the naked eye, viewers with binoculars or telescopes have been able to experience the comet in much greater detail, catching glimpses of its glowing tail.

Enthusiasts have been flocking to scenic spots across Malta to get a clear view, sharing their snapshots on social media. These photos have included dramatic skies with the comet set against the vibrant colours of the setting sun.

With only three days of clear skies forecasted, amateur astronomers and skywatchers are encouraged to take advantage of this rare opportunity.

Whether capturing the comet from rural spots or urban rooftops, the sight has united viewers under a shared sense of awe.
