The reservoir is found right underneath Mosta’s Square.

During recent works in Mosta, Infrastructure Malta unearthed a jewel right in the town’s main square as they discovered an underground reservoir.

Fortunately, the reservoir is currently being restored to its former glory.

The roofing structure is undergoing most of the restoration works in order to prevent further deterioration.

This will also help to strengthen the road of the square right above it.

What a stunning part of Malta’s marvellous underground architecture!
