Works soon underway! Raħal Ġdid Square to be completely renovated
A more accessible and comfortable square is on its way.

Emma Galea

From next Thursday, Infrastructure Malta is set to begin the process of completely renovating the Rahal Gdid Square.

The first phase involves the changing of the surface of the roads from Triq Ħal Luqa to Piazza Antoine De Paule.

Currently, there is severe road surface damage between the Health Centre and the Hibernians Football Club, which Infrastructure Malta are planning on fixing between Thursday 8th February and Thursday, 29th February.

This will take around three weeks and will be taking place mostly after 7pm to avoid traffic congestion and inconvenience.

For those who still have to pass through the area after 7pm, road signs and specific measures have been set up for people to follow.

The next phases are currently being drawn up and will see further work being undertaken for a more comfortable and accessible square.

6th February 2024
