Winter swim, anyone? Malta’s real feel temperature to hit a warm 21°C this Saturday
Keep in mind that the sea is about 10 degrees colder than it is in summer!

If you’re missing summer and can’t wait another five months for a swim, this Saturday might be your best bet to rekindle those summer vibes, with the real feel temperature forecast to hit a maximum of 21°C during the day!

The forecast for the coming days, including the weekend, reads sunny to mainly sunny, with maximum temperatures averaging a balmy 19°C. If this feels unusual, you’re right – it’s a whole 3 degrees more than the typical maximum temperature for the month.

Of course, if you really do plan on going for a dip, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, keep in mind that the sea temperature averages around 16°C at this time of year – a whole 10 degrees less than what you’re used to in August.

Another thing to keep an eye on are the winds in the coming days, forecast to climb to a strong force 6 on Friday evening, between Sunday and Monday, and again on Tuesday evening – always look out for warnings on social media and keep in mind that rough seas are rarely safe for swimmers!

Are you hoping to fit in a winter swim before the month is over?
