Malta’s Latin dancing powerhouse duo, Laurence Tanti and Consuela Camilleri, are celebrating another incredible milestone after winning the Over-35 Professional Open Latin title at the UK Championships in Bournemouth – for the second time!

The victory was a bittersweet one, as Laurence announced that this would be their final time competing at the championships. It marked the end of an era for the couple, who have proudly represented Malta on international dance floors for an impressive 14 years.

Laurence reflected on their journey in an emotional post on social media, recalling their very first international competition at the UK Open in 2011 and their return as professionals six years later. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to their coaches, Cosmo and Alessio, for their guidance and support in helping them achieve their dreams.

The duo also thanked their supporters in Malta and beyond, including their students, whose encouragement and shared pride have been a constant source of motivation in their gruelling practice sessions.

Well done Laurence and Consuela!
