Maltese Olympic swimmer Sasha Gatt has once again raised the bar, announcing on social media that she broke her own Short Course National Record in the 200m freestyle with an impressive time of 2:02.13.

‘Thrilled to announce that in my Second Meet of the Season I broke my own Short Course National Record in the 200 m freestyle with a time of 2.02.13.’

Competing in just her second meet of the season, this achievement marks the athlete’s fourth national record in a single week, an accomplishment that speaks to her commitment and intense training regimen.

‘My 4th National Short Course Record in a week results from countless hours of hard work, dedication and perseverance’.

Expressing her gratitude on Instagram, Sasha gave special thanks to her family and her coach, Catalin Ioan Stan, for their support and guidance on her journey.

Sasha's recent record-breaking performances continue to establish her as one of Malta’s premier swimming talents, with more exciting feats sure to come this season.
