Well done! ‘Zibel’ volunteers collect 1,320kg of marine waste at Tigne Point in Sliema
Truly an inspirational group of people!

Francesca Vella

The voluntary organisation Zibel held another one of their fruitful clean-ups over the weekend – this time at the bay just below Tigne Point – at which a whopping 1,320kg of marine waste was collected.

78 volunteers came together with the common aim of making our seas a cleaner place to swim in, and for marine life to live in. Items collected include several tyres, large metal objects and even a massive piece of cloth.

Zibel takes the opportunity to remind everyone that the goal of having cleaner seas ‘starts with you’ – that each and every one of us is responsible for keeping Malta and Gozo’s seas as clean as possible.

Have you participated in any beach clean-ups recently?
