Maltese racing talent Nicky Gauci has secured a fully funded drive in the 2025 Mini Challenge UK after winning the prestigious Jamsport Racing Scholarship. The competition, which attracted 50 highly skilled participants, tested drivers across three gruelling stages that included fitness assessments, media training, data analysis, simulator tests, interviews, and on-track evaluations.

Nicky emerged victorious after proving his ability in all aspects of modern motorsport, earning a seat with Jamsport Racing for the upcoming season. The Mini Challenge UK is widely regarded as one of the most competitive one-make series in Britain, serving as a stepping stone for aspiring professional racers. The championship has a history of producing top-tier talent who go on to compete in higher levels of motorsport.

Expressing his excitement on Instagram, Nicky described the scholarship process as an intense but rewarding journey. "It was no easy feat," he admitted. "Each stage brought new challenges, pushing me to perform at my best. The progress I’ve made since day one has been huge, and I’m determined to keep pushing until the end of the season!"

Nicky extended his gratitude to Jamsport Racing and its sponsors for making the opportunity possible, as well as his personal backers, including World Pro Racing, which provided essential simulator equipment for his preparation. He also acknowledged the support of his family, friends, and fellow competitors throughout the process.

Now, with the scholarship secured, the real work begins. Nicky will continue his training and preparations as he gears up for a highly competitive season in the Mini Challenge UK.

Well done, Nicky!
