Julian Scerri, a rising Maltese squash star, has claimed the title of Hungarian Junior Open 2024 Champion, marking his second major European win in just six months.

This latest victory is his biggest yet, solidifying his place as a top competitor in junior squash.

Following the tournament, Julian shared his excitement on social media, stating, ‘A great weekend where I showed what improvements I have been making on and off the court, and I'm so happy that I managed to put them all into my game’.

Julian expressed his gratitude to those who supported him, acknowledging the Racket Up Squash Academy and the Maltese team for their encouragement throughout the tournament. He also gave a special shoutout to his coaches, Jonny and Michelle from Wycliffe Squash in the UK, for helping him grow not only as an athlete but as a person.

He added heartfelt thanks to his brothers, who accompanied him on this journey, and his parents, who have always supported him from afar, enabling him to continue pursuing his passion for squash.

With this latest victory, Julian's dedication and hard work continue to propel him to new heights in his career.
