Well done! Malta’s women U17 waterpolo team beat Romania at the European Championship in Turkey

In a historic win, Malta’s women U17 waterpolo team has beaten Romania at this years European Championship finals held in Manisa, Turkey.

They beat the Romanian team with a score of 12-9, placing them in second place in their section, Group C.

Romania ranked above Malta in the international world rankings, making this achievement an even greater one.

Six of the 12 goals were scored by Zaira Bartolo while two goals were scored Elisa Amato. Nadya Azzopardi, Chloe Amato, Elise Gatt and Eyla Schembri scored one goal each.

They will be facing Italy today for a crossover match where they hope to advance even further.
