Malta’s own Fabio Spiteri has achieved an extraordinary milestone, landing 7th place in the world ranking for ULTRA triathlon - a remarkable feat for an athlete from one of the world’s smallest islands!

Fabio Spiteri shared the exciting news, reflecting on the hard work and dedication it took to achieve a top-ten world ranking. Competing alongside some of the fittest athletes on the planet, many of whom are world record holders, Fabio’s performance across two ultra-distance triathlons has elevated him to an elite tier in the sport.

The ULTRA triathlon pushes competitors to their limits, requiring peak physical and mental endurance across distances that dwarf traditional triathlons. Achieving 7th place worldwide speaks not only to Fabio’s fitness and perseverance but also to his strategic skill in navigating grueling courses that test every athlete’s endurance.

This athlete’s accomplishment is a proud moment for Malta’s sports community and demonstrates how Maltese athletes are making their mark internationally.
