Gozitan runner and athlete David Borg has made himself and his country very proud after completing half a marathon in 1 hour, 8 minutes and 59 seconds.

This resulted in him being ranked amongst the top 30 European athletes under the age of 23.

He ran this impressive time while in Spain at the Valencia half marathon and placed 95^th amongst the 221 male athletes competing in the final.

Fellow Maltese runner, Luke Micallef also took part in the half marathon and completed it in 1 hours, 6 minutes and 22 seconds, placing him in 58^th place.

Marija Cumbo, also a Maltese runner took place in the women’s half marathon and placed in the 79^th spot after finishing it in 1 hour, 24 minutes and 23 seconds.

What an impressive achievement!
