Well done! Athlete shatters national records in Michigan only a few weeks after joining Pembroke’s athletics club
Claire McNamara broke the records for both the Women’s Senior and U23 Indoor High Jump and Shot Put National Records

In a display of pure athleticism, Claire McNamara, the newest member of the Pembroke Athleta Athletics & Triathlon team, has etched her name in the record books by breaking both the Women's Senior and U23 Indoor High Jump and Shot Put National Records.

This remarkable feat unfolded at the Ann Arbor Invitational Meeting in Michigan (USA) on Friday, 26th January.

During a Pentathlon event, Claire delivered exceptional performances, securing a second-place finish with a total of 3691 points. Her prowess shone brightly as she achieved a best throw of 13.07m in Shot Put and soared to a height of 1.63m in High Jump, setting new indoor records in both disciplines.

The comprehensive list of Claire's achievements at the event, including an impressive 60H time of 10.06s and an 800m run completed in 2:19.06, underscores her versatility and dominance in the field.

Claire McNamara showcased determination, skill, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, making her team, and Malta, proud!
