Welcome to Aston Villa! Maltese Australian goalkeeper Joe Gauci joins the Premier League
Joe was previously playing Adelaide United.
Joe Gauci, an Australian football goalkeeper with Maltese descent has joined one of the most prestigious football leagues there is, the Premier League.
At 23, Joe will now be playing with the Birmingham based football club, Aston Villa.
Joe made the transfer from Adelaide United where he had been playing since 2020.
“Extremely proud moment for me, my family, and my friends signing for Aston Villa Football Club, can’t wait to join everyone very soon!”, Joe expressed on his social media.
Joe also plays as a goalkeeper for the national Australia team, having made his debut last March.
