Weather warning! Strong winds to batter Malta and Gozo tonight during storm
Time to bundle up again!

Francesca Vella

As the week’s previously balmy weather turns dark and chilly, weather reports of rain and even ice are coming in from across Malta and Gozo, with more rain and thunder expected for the rest of the day. But that’s not all! Weather portals are also issuing warnings for strong winds, expected to increase rapidly throughout the day, reaching force 7.

The rapid escalation of wind speed can pose serious risks, particularly in coastal areas or out at sea. For those near the shoreline or planning any maritime activities, be extra cautious as rough seas are expected later in the day.

Temperatures will also take a noticeable dip tonight, with a minimum temperature of 11°C expected. However, the high humidity will make it feel more like 8°C, so bundle up if you're heading outside! If you've already had enough of the wintry weather, worry not - conditions should be much calmer tomorrow.

Are you enjoying today's sudden weather shift?
