WATCH: Young Maltese swimmer Liam Daly becomes the youngest person to swim 10km between Malta and Gozo
Well done Liam!

Emma Galea

At just 12 years old, Liam Daly has become the youngest person to swim an impressive total of 10km between Malta and Gozo.

He started his mission at 11:25am last morning from Popeye’s village before swimming all the way to Mgarr x-Xini in Gozo.

Despite the strong currents he still managed to complete the swim in 3 hours and 54 minutes.

Liam does all of this to raise awareness about sea pollution and wishes for all those that have followed yesterday’s journey to donate to Nature Trust on Revolut or BOV mobile (99424975).

This is not Liam’s first rodeo. Just last year he swam 7km between Cirkewwa to Mgarr ix-Xini and at just eight years he swam between Comino and Gozo in just under an hour.

The future is looking bright for Liam!
