WATCH: Maltese artist AIDAN releases his first self-directed music video for new song ‘Sorry’
Are those Halloween vibes we see?

Local singer-songwriter AIDAN has given his fans a fantastic start to their Friday with the release of his new single ‘Sorry’. The music video premiered at 7 AM this morning, just hours after the single dropped at midnight.

This marks AIDAN's first fully self-directed video, showcasing impressive production values and creative lighting across various scenes. As the video progresses, it takes on a slightly eerie Halloween vibe, featuring the artist covered in blood and illuminated by green lights, accompanied by shaky camera movements that give a hallucinatory feel.

The song ‘Sorry’ ramps up the codeswitching element between Maltese and English that appeared in one of AIDAN's previous tracks, ‘Juliette’. It opens with the lyrics ‘Wasal il-ħin (The time has arrived) / No time for second guessing’. While codeswitching is commonly heard on the streets of Malta, it remains less prevalent in local music, making AIDAN's playful use of both official languages throughout the song a refreshing addition.
