In his latest vlog, Angelo Caruana together with fellow local explorer, Pierre Farrugia took his followers along a very exciting ride.

The two headed to Bahrija to explore the stunning L-Għar l-Iswed (Black Cave), a cave like no other.

Here, they discovered a small man dug hole that led to a huge passage. This tunnel was used as a shelter during World War II, a time when Malta was the most bombed country in the whole world.

It was built with three 90-degree corners in order to control the fire from the blast as much as possible.

As a significant number of years have passed since the tunnel was dug, many small stalactites have started forming.

The cave itself showed many signs that dwellers used to live there as it had many cracks and holes that were most likely used for shelves together with rubble walls that were used for shelter.
