'Very proud and grateful’! UK-based Maltese singer to return to Malta to perform with Brit Floyd
Coincidentally, the first ever concert she attended was BRIT FLOYD in Valletta

Maltese singer based in London, Chess Galea, is having a “pinch-me moment” as she is expected to make a return to her home country, as part of BRIT FLOYD’s concert.

Chess is currently touring across the globe with the Pink Floyd tribute band, which will come to Malta on 31st July.

In comments given to GuideMeMalta.com, Chess shared her excitement while stating that she is “very proud and grateful,” not only for the opportunity to be a backing vocalist with the band but to bring the show to her home country.

“This was the first concert that I ever watched 18 years ago, in Valletta, and to think I am now in the band is absolutely incredible,” Chess says.

She continues that for her this is a ‘full-circle’ moment that she is humbled by.

Ultimately she highlights that this opportunity gives her more inspiration to go further with her career and to make herself and Malta proud.

World-renowned BRIT FLOYD will be headlining the Għaxaq Music Festival, promising an unforgettable night of iconic music and spectacular visuals.

BRIT FLOYD kicked off their 2024 P-U-L-S-E World Tour, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Division Bell’ and greatest hits.

Having performed over 1,000 shows since its launch in Liverpool, England, in 2011, BRIT FLOYD has circled the world and “has sold out tours across Europe, North and South America, Asia and the Middle East.”

“The show is unmatched. We have heard from countless fans all over the world that it is incredibly close to the actual Pink Floyd shows that fans attended in the ‘70s,” Chess notes.

She describes the event as a full sensory experience and a “truly memorable spectacle.”

In addition, she states that the band’s musical director, Damian, is deeply meticulous about creating a show that is as parallel to the real thing as possible.

“Attention to detail is duly fulfilled and his passion for a high level of detail is admirable,” she adds.

Moreover, she says that the band members are fantastic musicians who she calls her second family.
