‘VERSUS’: An immersive exhibition exploring morality and heritage at the Inquisitor's Palace
It’s all happening from the 18th of November!

Lyndsey Grima

In a captivating exploration of morality and heritage, artist Paul Scerri introduces his latest body of work in a site-specific installation at the Inquisitor's Palace in Birgu.

Titled ‘VERSUS,’ the exhibition delves into the confrontation between vice and virtue, immersing viewers in the stark interface of ethical dichotomy. The artist’s exhibition unfolds within the chapel, inviting spectators to witness the manifestation of the Seven Capital Vices.

Beyond merely scrutinising moral imperatives, the installation serves as a poignant response to the historical context of the Inquisitor's Palace.

Running from the 18th of November to the 30th of December, the exhibition is accessible from Tuesday to Sunday between 9am and 5pm, at an entry museum fee of €6.

On the exhibition’s launch date, visitors will have an exceptional opportunity, from 10 am to 1 pm, to engage with both the artist and curator, Andrew Borg Wirth.

Supported by Heritage Malta and Camilleri Paris Mode Ltd, Paul Scerri's thought-provoking project weaves together art, morality, and cultural legacy, providing a unique and immersive experience for all who attend.
