Unusual warmth persists in Malta! Temperatures up to 6°C higher than average for this time of year
Maximum temperatures will continue to be around 28°C to 30°C for, at least, another week.

As the calendar flips deeper into October, it's not unusual to expect cooler temperatures, but this year seems to have other plans. As reported by the popular Facebook page, Maltese Islands Weather, maximum temperatures continue to defy the season, reaching a balmy 28°C to 30°C.

This unseasonal warmth, with temperatures up to 6°C higher than the average for this time of year, has many wondering if autumn is simply taking a rain check.

Remarkably, just a decade ago, on the 13th of October 2013, history was made when a new temperature record for October was set. The mercury soared to an astonishing 32.9°C, serving as a reminder that nature's surprises are not bound by the calendar.

The weather, it seems, is intent on repeating itself, as we find ourselves waiting once more for significant, widespread rainfall. This déjà vu situation closely mirrors what transpired a decade ago when we had to wait until November for substantial rainfall.

With the current warm spell showing no signs of letting up, it appears we'll be enjoying summer-like conditions for a bit longer.

Are you happy that you’ll be spending more time at the beach this October?
