Holy smokes! If this isn’t an ultimate throwback, we don’t know what is! Long gone are the days that Maltese roads looked like this. Can you recognise this popular Sliema street?

Yup, it’s Rudolph Street! The building seen in this snapshot is of Moorish style and was designed by the renowned Maltese architect Emmanuele Luigi Galizia in the 1800s. The building is known as Villa Alhambra and was one of the very first houses to be built in this street. The villa bears intricate designs and stone carvings inspired by the Middle East, and is perhaps one of the only examples of its kind on the islands.
