Tuesday 26th October: 16 new COVID cases registered as 4 patients remain in ITU

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 16 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered 13 recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 222.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 25th October, Malta had administered 869,715 vaccine doses. 46,099 of these were booster doses. 

Fortunately, no COVID-19 deaths were registered in the past 24 hours. This means that the country’s virus death toll remains at 460. 

A total of 14 patients are being treated at Mater Dei, four of whom are in ITU.
