Tuesday 18th January: Three COVID-19 patients pass away as 379 test positive
107 virus patients are being treated at Mater Dei Hospital.

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 379 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered 704 recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 9,181.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 18th January, Malta had administered 1,175,136 vaccine doses. 310,012 of these were booster doses.

Three COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours: males aged 60,64,and 89. This brings the country’s virus death toll up to 509.

A total of 107 patients are being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, nine of whom are in ITU.
