Travelling between Malta and Sicily? Virtu Ferries make changes to Friday’s trips due to rough seas
Virtu Ferries have announced that they have cancelled and made changes to their trips between Sicily and Malta this Friday “due to unfavourable sea conditions”.
The wind force in Malta alone is forecasted to reach as high as force seven!
Thus, on the 19th, April 2024, the trip that was scheduled to leave Malta at 5am is now set to leave at 4am instead. Similarly, the voyage that was meant to depart at 8:30am from Pozzallo in Sicily is now departing at 7am instead.
The rest of the trips have all been cancelled, meaning only one trip will be made from each harbour.
This is not the first time that Virtu Ferries have cancelled trips due to rough weather this week. Just yesterday, the company cancelled the majority of their trips as a result of the strong winds.
