They’ve done it again! Gharb’s singing Christmas tree shatters its own record at 8 metres tall and 91-strong choir
Heavenly voices emerging from a Christmas tree is the ultimate festive experience!

Francesca Vella

Last year, the village of Gharb in Gozo brought a truly unique experience to life for the first time, with a choir arranged on the structure of massive Christmas tree, singing carols in a beautifully festive concert.

This year they returned with even more gusto, breaking last year’s record with an impressive structure standing at 8 metres high, 9.10 metres wide, and 5.45 metres deep, accompanied by an incredible choir of 91 members!

Congratulations to the Għarb Local Council, the Gozo Community, Youth and the children choir of Għarb, who officially kicked off the Christmas celebrations on December 13th. Their efforts at this special festive event certainly brought joy to all present, while making the village of Gharb the holder of one more national record.

Did you see (or hear) the Christmas tree choir in Gharb?
