The UK Sunday Times has named Malta as one of the most affordable destinations to visit this summer amongst many other Southern and Eastern European cities.

Malta was ranked as one of the most affordable destinations as the average prices for coffee go at £2 while an evening meal averages at £19 and beer at £2.50.

“Avoid capital Valletta (although even that is hardly exorbitant) and you’ll find that few hotels or all-inclusives in Malta will break the bank”, the British newspaper expressed.

Some other cheap holiday destinations in the list included Crete in Greece, Marmaris in Turkey and Algarve in Portugal and Sunny Beach in Bulgaria.
