Looking for a bright way to celebrate Halloween weekend? Swap the spooky for the sunny and head to Valletta’s Mediterranean Conference Centre, where the feel-good musical Annie will be taking one of Malta’s biggest stages from Friday 31st October to Sunday 2nd November.

Presented by FM Theatre Productions and directed by Chiara Hyzler with musical direction by Kris Spiteri, this wholesome show will be warming hearts and lifting spirits (not the ghostly kind!) with one of Broadway’s most beloved stories.

Set in 1930s New York City during the Great Depression, Annie follows the journey of a plucky young orphan with an unshakable belief that better days are always ahead. When billionaire Oliver Warbucks invites her to spend Christmas at his mansion, their lives change forever, proving that family can be found in the most unexpected places.

This local production features Yelena Brincat and Faith Vella Gregory sharing the titular role, alongside Denise Mulholland as the unforgettable Miss Hannigan, Cliff Zammit Stevens as Oliver Warbucks, and a stellar supporting cast including Gabrielle Sargeant, Raphael Pace, Tessa May Attrill, and Edward Mercieca.

Whether you’re seeing it for the first time or know all the songs off by heart, Annie is the perfect reminder that even when the world feels a little grey… the sun will come out tomorrow!
